Are You Ready to Start Reaching The Finish Line?

The following is a book excerpt of my first book, Reaching The Finish Line: A Practical Guide to Discovering the Champion in You.

Are you ready to start reaching the finish line? A lot of people think so.

They claim that they want to achieve certain things in life. However, if you look at their lifestyle, it isn’t a reflection of what they really want in life. People can sound very convincing but the majority of their persuasion lies in words.

90% of people fail to take action, the very step that makes the difference in their lives.

The truth is some people are afraid to blindly immerse themselves in a new pursuit. They want to know every single detail before they begin. The reality is everything will never be laid out.

In dating, you aren’t going to know everything about your date prior to dating.

When applying for jobs, you aren’t going to know everything about the employer prior to applying.

Apply it to any element of your life and the principle still stands. The best thing that you can do for yourself is begin now.

Think of a car driving through the night. The headlights only go 100 to 200 feet forward. And you can make it all the way from California to New York because all you have to see is the next 200 feet. That’s how life tends to unfold for us.
— Jack Canfield, Author of The Success Principles

So, let’s revisit the original question. Are you ready to start reaching the finish line?
